Our core commitment

AI tools can assist with drafting, outlining, and formatting, but they cannot replace editorial judgment. We do not publish fabricated statistics, fake quotes, or unsupported claims as fact. Every article has been reviewed, fact‑checked, and approved by a human editor before it reaches you.

Human responsibility

Editors remain responsible for final wording, page structure, claims, corrections, and reader safety. No AI system has the authority to publish or modify content on GrokExpedia.us. Our editorial team reviews all AI‑assisted drafts for accuracy, tone, and compliance with our fact‑checking standards.

Our five AI ethics principles

Synthetic or fake citations	Editors open and verify every linked source; invented references are treated as a publishing failure.
Bias & stereotyping	Editors review for unbalanced framing, and sensitive topics get additional review passes.
Outdated information	Articles carry publication and update dates; evergreen content is re‑reviewed on a schedule.
Plagiarism / originality	AI output is a starting point at most — final text is written, checked, and attributed by humans.

Where we use AI (and where we don’t)

• ✅ Used, with oversight: brainstorming outlines, grammar suggestions, summarizing public research papers, generating meta descriptions, formatting tables.
• ❌ Never used: writing final verdicts, fabricating citations, generating fake author identities, personalizing content from reader tracking, or making editorial decisions autonomously.

Covering AI‑generated encyclopedias fairly

Much of our coverage examines AI‑generated knowledge platforms such as Grokipedia. Our ethics rules apply doubly there: we test the platform’s claims against independent sources, describe our testing method, and avoid both hype and reflexive dismissal. When we quote an AI‑generated passage, we label it as such and link to the live page so readers can check the current version themselves.

What transparency looks like for readers

• AI‑assistance notes — when AI significantly assisted an article, a brief note says so.
• Visible dates — publication and update dates on every article.
• Correction logs — substantive fixes are documented publicly, not silently patched.
• Uncertainty labels — developing or thinly sourced claims are marked as such in the text.

Accountability

Our editors and fact‑checkers are trained to spot AI errors — and they have the final say on every correction, update, and retraction. We do not shift blame to algorithms. If a mistake occurs, we own it and fix it promptly through our corrections process.
